Testimonials

  • Before I knew Helping Hands Coalition organization and its community programs on life skill empowerment, life was not easy. When they came, they organized us the young girls and women in groups, trained us in different life skills such as tailoring. With the skills I attained, I am able to help my family with basic needs and also have hope for the future. I also realised how the skills I got can help me to create work opportunities for other young girls struggling with life.

  • When I divorced my husband, life became hard. I was used to staying home waiting for him to provide all the basic needs. I never thought how things would change. I really suffered when we seperated. One morning, I met with Ruth. She is a leader of a women group which was empowered by Helping Hands Coalition. She introduced me to her group and invited me to attend their skill- based trainings. I have learnt many skills. I am able to put food on my table and also support my children with school fees.

  • I am a professional teacher qualified to teach pre-school. When I finished college, it was hard for me to get a job since I didn’t have any work experience, until I came across the founder of Helping Hands Coalition, an organization that empowers people with survival skills. They trained me through their teacher mentorship program. This training opened up opportunities for me. I am currently employed in a private nursery school, where I earn a reasonable salary. I am able to support my family.
